T hese cards are cute, right? Not hard at all, and a good "go to" when you need something quick. You make two cards at once!
Project Recipe
Card Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" (create 2)
DSP: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Coordinating Card stock strip: 1/4" x 8 1/2" (2)
Basic White inside: 4" x 5 1/4" (2)
Scraps for die cut shape / sentiments / die cuts of your choice. My circles are 2 3/8"
Directions:
Cut and score your 2 card bases. Burnish the score lines on each.
Place your piece of DSP (pattern you want to use face up) on your trimmer.
Cut from one side of the DSP to the other at an angle. (I cut mine very randomly, but if you want a measurement- make tic marks at 1 1/4" on the right side and 4 1/2" on the left side to use as a guide)
Adhere the DSP pieces to the card bases as shown. (There will be no border. It will go right to the edge of the card.)
Glue the card stock strip diagonally next to your DSP (Tip: add the glue in a thin line next to the DSP on the card front and then lay the paper down, centering it so it goes off each edge. Cut off the excess on either side.
Stamp sentiment on your label and adhere to the card front.
Add die cuts and embellishments as desired.
