Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Misty Moonlight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Night Of Navy Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of dots and stars on watercolor washed blue background design from O Holy Night 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/8" x 2-3/4" of matte silver foil from Silver Foil 12" x 12" Specialty Pack
- 1" x 4-1/2" from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
DO THIS STEP FIRST!
Place the O Holy Night Designer Paper rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Make sure nothing you want to keep clean is too close.
Squeeze the Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to get some ink on the brush tip. Hold the Glitter Brush at a slight angle over the rectangle cut out. Sharply tap the end of the Glitter Brush multiple times making drops of ink splatter onto the rectangle. Squeeze the Glitter Brush as needed to get more ink on the brush. Move the brush around so you get splatters on the entire rectangle. Vary the height of the Glitter Brush above the rectangle to get different sizes of splatters.
Set aside to allow to dry.
Pick out the large, detailed, flying owl die from the Winter Owls Dies. Put it on top of the white square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Pick out both of the large, detailed, wing dies from the Winter Owls Dies. Put them on top of the silver foil rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the foil wing cut outs to the back of the owl cut out so they stick out from behind the wings as shown.
If the Wink Of Stella splatters on the designer paper are dry, then adhere the designer paper to the center of the Night Of Navy rectangle.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the matted designer paper rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the bottom. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Night Of Navy rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Misty Moonlight card.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the owl cut out with wing cut outs attached to the front of the card as shown.
Mount the moon image from the Winter Owls Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal, thin Misty Moonlight strip leaving room to stamp the sentiment and to cut the pieces out with dies.
Mount the "warm wishes" sentiment from the Winter Owls Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the horizontal, thin Misty Moonlight strip leaving room to cut the pieces out with dies.
Pick out the small circle moon die from the Winter Owls Dies and the angled ends rectangle die from the Something Fancy Dies. Put them on top of the Misty Moonlight strip a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over the stamped moon and sentiment. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Use the Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to paint some shimmer on the moon cut out.
Adhere the shimmery moon cut out to the front of the card using a Stampin' Dimensional so it is in the upper left corner of the card as shown.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the lower right side of the ribbon in the bottom right corner.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 5 different sized jewels from the sheet of Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the front of the card as shown.
