F unny Halloween card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Cajun Craze Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 2-7/8" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 2-3/8" x 2-3/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-1/8" x 3-7/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
Insert the Crumb Cake rectangle into the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder so the planks will run horizontally. Place the folder with the cardstock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle to the front of the Cajun Craze card.
Mount the sitting pig image from the This Little Piggy Set on Block C. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the vanilla rectangle.
Tip: To make it easy to mix and match sentiments and images, try cutting your stamps apart. If you have the old Craft & Rubber Scissors we used to sell, they work great. Otherwise, use any pair of sharp scissors, Be sure to cut in straight lines and don't undercut the foam layer.
If you don't want to cut your stamps apart, be sure to mask off the portion of the stamp that you don't want to use when inking the stamp up. You can do this by placing a piece of tape over the part you don't want to ink up. Just remember to remove the tape before stamping or you will get a blob!
Mount the "trick or treat" sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings Set on Block G. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it onto Grid Paper first to make sure it is straight and right side up. Adjust as needed. Then, re-ink with the StazOn Ink Pad and stamp it underneath the stamped pig image.
Squeeze the lid of the Crumb Cake Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Pick up some ink from the lid using the Blender Pen. Color some patches on the pig and the mud beneath the pig. Get more ink on the Blender Pen as needed.
Tip: Stroke the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the cardstock could start to pill and tear. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Blender Pen until no more color is coming off.
Squeeze the lid of the Cajun Craze Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Pick up some ink from the lid using the Blender Pen. Color in the rest of the pig. Make some areas darker where there would be shadows. Get more ink on the Blender Pen as needed.

Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet piece and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the Basic Black strip. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the Basic Black strip on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (black facing up).
Pick out the spider web thinlit and the solid bat thinlit from the Seasonal Tags Framelits and the bow thinlit from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits. Place all three thinlits on top of the Basic Black strip on the Big Shot. Make sure the thinlits do NOT overlap. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the spider web cut out and adhere it in the upper right corner of the pig stamped rectangle.
Use Paper Snips to cut the tails off the bow cut out so it looks like a mask. Peel the protective backing off of the mask and adhere it to the pig's face.
Adhere the pig image rectangle to the Cajun Craze rectangle and then to the front of the card on the right side.
Peel the protective backing off of the bat cut out. Adhere it to the upper left side of the card front at a slight angle.
Cut a 2-1/2" piece of Black 1/8" Cord.
Tie a half knot in the center of the cord. Fray and trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the cord knot to the front of the card on the left side of the matted pig image.
