T his card layout was recently done by Nancy Ladue Reynolds. She cased it but I haven't heard yet who she got if from. I'll add that in when I hear later. A unique and simple fun fold!
Project Recipe
Cut paper and cardstock:
~Pool Party-7" x 8 1/4". With long side up score in 2 3/4" from left edge. Rotate 1/4 turn and score at 2 3/4" from left edge again. With short side up and the corner square created from scoring in the upper left, measure in 5 1/2" from top left corner and make a tic mark. From same corner measure down 5 1/2" and make another tic mark. Make a diagonal score from one tic mark to another.
~Basic white- 4" x 5 1/4" for inside of card. Bottom right corner will be visible from front. Also need a strip for front sentiment. Cut one 2 1/2" square for top left portion of front.
~DSP/patterned or specialty paper.
Cut another 2 1/2" square from DSP for bottom left portion of card front. Use pattern of choice. Then from a different pattern cut a panel 1 1/4" x 2 1/2" for upper right portion. Use papers from the dsp to cut out images as shown on front.
~Diecut an image for front from glimmer paper and an outline from the foil in the dsp pack.
Use bone folder to crease card base. The two score lines that are parallel to a side will be folded in, valley fold. The corner diagonal score line will be folded back, mountain fold. Crease all folds very well.
Using the Stitched Greenery die, run upper left basic white square piece through diecut machine to pierce a greenery design into the square. Diecut greenery pieces and arrange on upper left panel.
Stamp using Evening Evergreen ink.
~On small basic white strip stamp main sentiment for the front of the card. Punch each end using Lovely labels punch
~ On inside basic white panel, stamp an image that will show on the front in the bottom right corner.
~Stamp Sending hugs towards the top of the inside panel.
Diecut any images you would like to have on the front of the card using the stamp and die bundle "Splendid Thoughts". Use paper from Splendid thoughts paper pack.
~Color image on inside layer with blends.
~Adhere inside basic white panel using adhesive of choice.
~Adhere the two front DSP pieces to corresponding sections.
~Adhere diecuts.
~Scatter sequins around.
~Adhere sentiment strip to bottom left panel. Use dimensionals.
