S imple, pretty card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 4" x 5-1/4" from subtle stripes of purples design from Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal
- 3" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" square from Copper Foil Sheets
- 1-7/8" square from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
Insert the large Very Vanilla rectangle into the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Tip: There is a thin black line on the bottom of the front flap of the folder (the one with the logos on it) that runs through the Stampin' Up! logo. You can use this line to help you position the cardstock so it is straight inside the folder.
Place the folder with the card stock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Tip: If the impression doesn't seem very deep, you can place a thin shim of cardboard (a piece cut from the cardboard included in designer series paper packs works well) on top of the Cutting Pad to give a little more pressure for a slightly deeper impression.
Adhere the dry embossed vanilla layer to the front of the Rich Razzleberry card.
Pick out the large sized open label framelit from the Stitched Seasons Framelits. Place the Nature's Poem Designer Paper on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the large, open label framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the cut out designer paper label to the front of the card in the center.
Mount the "thinking of you" sentiment from the Rooted In Nature Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining, smaller vanilla rectangle.
Pick out the small sized open label framelit from the Stitched Seasons Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the open label framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered inside the designer paper label.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet piece and adhere the adhesive sheet to the white side of the Copper Foil rectangle. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of Copper Foil on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (copper facing up).
Pick out the detailed leaf thinlit from the Stitched Seasons Framelits. Place it on top of the Copper Foil piece on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the detailed leaf cut out and adhere it to the front of the card in the lower right corner of the labels so the stem is pointing up beside the "u" in the word "you" and the tip of the leaf is sticking out onto the dry embossed vanilla layer.
Cut a 3" piece of the Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the leaf at the base of the stem.
