Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Boho Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 5" square of different design blue lines on lighter blue background design from Countryside Inn 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 4-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" from Pebbled Path Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- scrap from Boho Blue Cardstock
- scrap from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
Fold the Boho Blue card in half.
Pick out the circle die from the Deckled Circles Dies that cuts out a 5" circle. Put it on top of the folded Boho Blue card on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the fold of the card is half way through the circle. Run through the machine.
Pick out the circle die from the Deckled Circles Dies that cuts out a 4-5/8" circle. Put it on top of the Countryside Inn Designer Paper square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the designer paper circle to the front half of the folded half circle card so a little bit of Boho Blue shows on the bottom, left, and right edges. Then, fold the designer paper over to the back half of the folded half circle card and adhere it in place.
Note: The designer paper won't cover the entire back half of the folded half circle card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Rocking Horse Set or Charming Sentiments Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the rocking horse image from the Rocking Horse Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Boho Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large white rectangle.
Pick out the matching rocking horse die from the Rocking Horse Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use the fine tip of the Boho Blue Stampin' Write Marker to color in the horse's tail, mane, and saddle blanket.
Use the fine tip of the Misty Moonlight Stampin' Write Marker to color in the stripe on the saddle blanket, to add dots to the sides of the saddle blanket, to add streaks to the horse's tail, and to outline the sections of the horse's mane.
Use the fine tip of the Pebbled Path Stampin' Write Marker to color in the horse's bridle and hooves.
Use the fine tip of the Basic Gray Stampin' Write Marker to color in the stirrups.
Pick out the more solid rocker die, the saddle die, and the "c" block die from the Rocking Horse Dies. Put them on top of the Pebbled Path strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the solid rocker cut out to the bottom of the colored rocking horse cut out over the rocker there.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the saddle cut out to the rocking horse cut out over the saddle image there.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the rocker and about half way up the rocking horse of the rocking horse cut out ONLY to adhere the rocking horse cut out to the top of the folded half circle rocker card. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the top, folded edge of the rocker card.
Tip: Lay the folded half circle rocker card on top of a medium envelope. This will help you figure out how high up the rocking horse can be and still have the card fit in the envelope.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin white strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat on the other end.
Mount the "so tiny, so precious" sentiment from the Charming Sentiments Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched white strip.
Adhere the sentiment strip to the bottom of the card front so it is centered side to side and the top of the strip is jut tucked under the bottom of the rocker.
Pick out the "a" and "b" block dies from the Rocking Horse Dies. Put them on top of the Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight scraps on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies and cardstock do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the "a" and "b" block cut outs to the front of the card as shown. Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the "c" block cut out to the front of the card as shown.
