Snailed It Snail Tag |
F un card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Blushing Bride Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of lines of small snails on light blue background design from Snail Mail Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" of curving, dotted, white lines on blue background design from Snail Mail Designer Series Paper
- 3/4" x 3" from Blushing Bride Cardstock
- 2" square from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the large rectangle of Snail Mail Designer Paper to the center of the Bermuda Bay rectangle and then to the front of the Blushing Bride card.
Pick out the fancy top tag die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies that cuts out a tag that is 1-1/2" x 3-3/8". Put it on top of the small rectangle of Snail Mail Designer Paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Cut a 6" piece of the Real Red 1/8" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack.
Fold the ribbon in half. Stick the folded end of the ribbon through the hole in the top of the tag from the back side. Pull it through a bit. Stick the loose ends of the ribbons through the loop and pull it tight. Trim the ends.
Adhere the designer paper tag with ribbon attached to the front of the card so the bottom of the tag is about 1-1/4" from the bottom of the card and the left side of the tag is about 7/8" from the left side of the card.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Blushing Bride strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notch) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide the other end of the thin Blushing Bride strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the outward notch) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Snailed It Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right end of the punched Blushing Bride strip with the arrow pointing to the right. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp the sentiment again just to the left of the first stamped sentiment. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp the sentiment a third time just to the left of the second stamped sentiment.
Adhere the stamped, punched sentiment strip to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the designer paper tag about 1/4" from the bottom and with the arrow pointing to the right.
Mount the snail with an envelope on his back image from the Snailed It Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp the image on the square of white cardstock. Don't worry if you don't get all of the sentiment, you will be cutting it off anyway.
Pick out the matching snail with envelope die from the Snail Dies. Put it on top of the stamped snail image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the snail is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Put the snail cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light Real Red Stampin' Blends to outline the snail's mouth and spots on his belly.
Use the Dark and Light Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the snail's body and antenna, but leave the eyeballs white.
Use the Dark and Light Real Red Stampin' Blends to color in the snail's shell.
Use the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to color in the heart on the envelope.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends if needed to remove excess color.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored snail cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the top of the sentiment banner a bit and overlaps the right edge of the designer paper tag a bit.
