Feels Like Home Brick Cottage Relaxing |
P retty retirement or birthday card using Stampin' Up! products including one that you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration 2021.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of light brown bricks design from Bloom Where You're Planted 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the bricks are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 4" x 4-1/4" from Soft Succulent Cardstock
- 4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3-1/4" from Soft Succulent Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Bloom Where You're Planted Designer Paper to the front of the Cinnamon Cider card.
Mount the front door with plants and bicycle image from the Feels Like Home Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square so the top of the image is about 3/4" from the top edge. Allow to dry a bit.
Put the stamped white square on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the fine tip of the Dark Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends to add some dots of color to the leaves of all the plants. Also use the fine tip to color in the frame, fenders, seat, and handle bar grips of the bicycle.
Use the Light Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the leaves on all the plants. I found it worked better if I dotted them in.
Adhere the colored and stamped white square to the center of the Soft Succulent rectangle so the top and bottom edges line up and there is 1/8" of Soft Succulent showing on the left and right edges.
Cut a 5" piece of the Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the top of the stamped white/Soft Succulent rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the top edge. Flip the cardstock over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Soft Succulent rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and the top and bottom edges line up with the top and bottom edges of the designer paper.
Unlock the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Soft Succulent strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the flatter end) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other end of the strip.
Mount the "Relax Your Way!" or "Thanks To You" sentiment from the A Good Man Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched strip.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment strip to the front of the card so it is centered along the bottom edge of the door with plants and bicycle image.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Soft Succulent 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the front of the card on the right side. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
