Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Orchid Oasis Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 5" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub most of the ink off on Grid Paper. Rub the inky Blending Brush across the upper third of the large, vertical white rectangle Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Make the bottom of the upper third a little darker than the rest..
Rub the same Blending Brush across the open Parakeet Party Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub most of the ink off on Grid Paper. Rub the inky Blending Brush across the bottom two-thirds of the large, vertical white rectangle Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Make the ink get darker the further down you go.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
As you are ready to stamp using the Pansy Patch Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large, more solid pansy flower outside edge image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp once on Grid Paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp the image on one end of the long, fat white strip leaving room to cut it out.
Mount the large, more detailed pansy flower outside edge image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped large pansy image.
Mount the larger, more solid pansy flower interior image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Starry Sky Ink Pad. Stamp the image in the center of the previously stamped pansy image on the white strip.
Mount the medium-sized, solid pansy flower interior image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp the image in the center of the previously stamped pansy image on the white strip.
Mount the small, more solid pansy flower image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp the image twice on the remainder of the white strip, leave room between the flower images so you can cut them out with dies in a later step. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the small, more detailed pansy flower image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Starry Sky Ink Pad. Stamp the image over the top of the small pansy images already stamped on the white strip, remembering to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the tiny triangle image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Parakeet Party Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of all of the previously stamped pansy images. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the larger, more solid pansy bud image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it in a blank space on the white strip. Remember to leave room to cut the images out with dies.
Mount the smaller, more detailed pansy bud image from the Pansy Patch Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Starry Sky Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped bud image.
Pick out the large, open pansy flower die; the small, open pansy flower die; and the open flower bud die from the Pansy Dies. Put them on top of the images on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over the images. Run through the machine. Repeat with the second small pansy image and die.
Pick out the solid, skinny, bent over stem with bracket die from the Pansy Dies. Put it on top of the small Parakeet Party rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin white strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the small, rounded scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch
Mount the "a little hello from me to you" sentiment from the Pansy Patch Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Starry Sky Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched white strip so it is close to the left edge with the punched edge being on the left.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the pansy cut outs, stem cut out, bud cut out, and punched sentiment strip on the bottom of the vertical, blended white rectangle to figure out spacing and placement.
When happy with the layout, adhere the pieces in place one at a time as shown. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the stem cut out in place.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess white sentiment strip on the right edge as needed.
Adhere the blended rectangle with all pieces attached to the center of the large Parakeet Party rectangle and then to the front of the Orchid Oasis card.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three Starry Sky pearls from the sheet of 2022-2024 In Color Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
