F un spinner card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Melon Mambo Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" from Basic White Thick Cardstock
- 4" square from Basic White Thick Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
Pick out the large rectangle with a notch on one side and a tiny hole in the center die from the Give It A Whirl Dies. Put it on top of the large Basic White Thick rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Pick out the fan shape with a tiny hole at the bottom die from the Give It A Whirl Dies. Put it on top of the die cut Basic White Thick rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the hole in the die lines up with the hole in the cardstock and the fan shape is straight across above the holes. Run through the machine.
Insert the die cut Basic White Thick rectangle into the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Pick out the large, scalloped edge circle with a tiny hole in the center die from the Give It A Whirl Dies. Put it on top of the large Basic White Thick square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Nothing's Better Than Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the die cut and dry embossed Basic White Thick rectangle on the white scalloped circle cut out so the holes in the centers line up and a bit of the edge of the scalloped circle shows in the notch on the upper right side of the white rectangle cut out.
Mount the "coffee" sentiment from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block G. Ink it up using the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp the words onto the white circle through the fan shaped cut out in the white rectangle.
Rotate the white scalloped circle die under the white rectangle cut out so a clean area shows through the fan shaped cut out. Make sure the holes in both pieces still line up.
Mount the "cookies" sentiment from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block G. Ink it up using the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp the words onto the white circle through the fan shaped cut out in the white rectangle.
Rotate the white scalloped circle die under the white rectangle cut out so a clean area shows through the fan shaped cut out. Make sure the holes in both pieces still line up.
Mount the "chocolate" sentiment from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block G. Ink it up using the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp the words onto the white circle through the fan shaped cut out in the white rectangle.
Pick out a small, circle brad of either color from the Round & Square Brads.
Lay the dry embossed white rectangle cut out on top of the stamped white scalloped circle cut out so the holes line up. Insert the prongs of the brad through the holes and flatten them on the back side of the rectangle/circle cut outs.
Put Stampin' Dimensionals all over the back of the layered rectangle cut out making sure that none are too close to the scalloped circle cut out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the layered rectangle/circle cut outs to the front of the Melon Mambo card. Give the spinner wheel a turn to make sure it spins smoothly.
Mount the "because adulting is hard" sentiment from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Melon Mambo Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1" x 2-1/4" Crumb Cake rectangle.
Pick out the rectangle shape with a tiny hole at the bottom die from the Give It A Whirl Dies. Put it on top of the sentiment stamped Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Tip: For this project you are using the rectangle cut out of the center with the sentiment stamped on it.
Put a Mini Stampin' Dimensional on either end of the back of the Crumb Cake sentiment cut out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the fan shaped window cut in the front of the card and covers the brad. Make sure that no adhesive goes over the edges of the fan shaped cut out or your spinner won't turn.
Mount the outline with chocolate chips cookie image from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Crumb Cake square.
Mount the solid interior of the cookie image on Block B. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped outline cookie image on the Crumb Cake square.
Pick out the cookie die from the Love You More Than Dies. Put it on top of the stamped cookie image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the cookie. Run through the machine.
Adhere the cookie cut out to the front of the card so the bitten area is near the upper right side and the left side of the cookie is about 1-1/8" from the left side of the card and the bottom of the cookie is about 5/8" from the bottom of the card.
Mount the outline of the three pieces of chocolate image from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Melon Mambo Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining small Crumb Cake rectangle.
Mount the solid interiors of the three pieces of chocolate image from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped outline chocolates image.
Pick out the matching set of three chocolates die from the Love You More Than Dies. Put it on top of the stamped chocolates image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the chocolates. Run through the machine.
Adhere the chocolates cut out to the front of the card so they overlap the bottom of the cookie cut out. The bottom of the chocolates cut out should be about 1/2" from the bottom of the card and the left side of the chocolates cut out should be about 1-1/8" from the left side of the card.
Mount the outline of the coffee cup image from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Melon Mambo Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white square.
Mount the solid interior of the coffee cup image from the Nothing's Better Than Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Blushing Bride Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped outline coffee cup image.
Pick out the matching coffee cup die from the Love You More Than Dies. Put it on top of the stamped coffee cup image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the coffee cup. Run through the machine.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the coffee cup cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom left sides of the cookie and chocolates cut outs.
Cut an 8" piece of the Crumb Cake Baker's Twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials Pack.
Tie a small bow in the center of the baker's twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the baker's twine bow to the front of the card at the bottom right corner of the sentiment rectangle cut out.
