B right & cheery Christmas card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 4-1/8" of rows of Christmas lights on strings on white background design of Merry Bold & Bright 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the rows are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/4" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry & Bright Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top to protect the Mat from ink.
Mount the long, looped cord image from the Merry & Bright Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it on all 4 edges of the Granny Apple Green rectangle as shown. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Adhere the stamped Granny Apple Green rectangle to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-5/8" x 4" from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the designer paper rectangle cut out to the center of the card front.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 1" x 2-3/8" from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the 1-1/2" x 2-3/4" white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine
Mount the "merry" in a solid block sentiment from the Merry & Bright Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it at a slight upward angle in the upper left corner of the horizontal white rectangle cut out as shown.
Mount the "& bright" in a solid block sentiment from the Merry & Bright Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it at a slight downward angle in the lower right corner of the horizontal white rectangle cut out as shown.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Granny Apple Green Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the edges of the stamped white rectangle cut out.
Adhere the stamped and edged white rectangle cut out to the center of the designer paper rectangle cut out on the front of the card.
Mount the large, rounded tip bulb image from the Merry & Bright Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal 2-1/4" x 3" white rectangle. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the large, rounded tip bulb image on Block B with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the horizontal 2-1/4" x 3" white rectangle. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy and put it away.
Pick out both of the matching, large, rounded bulb dies from the Merry & Bright Dies. Put them on top of the stamped bulb images on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the stamped bulbs are centered in the dies (you will have some unstamped cardstock in the base of the bulbs). Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Pick out both of the solid with lines bulb base dies from the Merry & Bright Dies. Put them on top of the Shaded Spruce rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the bulb base cut outs to the white areas at the bases of the bulb cut outs.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the assembled bulb cut outs to the front of the card as shown so they overlap the upper right and lower left corners of the designer paper rectangle cut out.
