Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, Window Sheets, foil sheets, and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
- 3" square from Window Sheets 12" x 12"
- 2 pieces each 1/2" x 3" from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1/2" x 3" of Granny Apple Green foil from Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green 12" x 12" Foil Sheets
- 5/8" x 3" of rows of tiny red triangle trees with with stars on top on light green background design of Merry Bold & Bright 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the tree triangles are vertical on the horizontal strip
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" square from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Place the Dots & Spots Die cutting side up on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Place the Lemon Lime Twist rectangle on top making sure it is straight and that you'll cut out as many whole dots/circles as possible. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the dotted Lemon Lime Twist rectangle to the center of the large Granny Apple Green rectangle.
Adhere the matted green rectangles to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the strip of Merry Bold & Bright Designer Paper across the center of the Window Sheets square.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the two strips of Granny Apple Green Foil Sheets to the Window Sheets square so they are just above and below the designer paper strip with a small amount of Window Sheet showing between each strip.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the two strips of Poppy Parade to the Window Sheets square so they are at the top and bottom of the square with a small amount of Window Sheet showing between each strip and the Foil Sheets strip next to it..
Pick out the circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies that cuts out a 2-9/16" diameter circle. Put it on top of the Window Sheet square with strips attached on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine a few times. You may need to use Paper Snips Scissors to finish cutting the circle cut out loose.
Tip: To avoid getting scratch marks on the foil sheet strips, use a newer, cleaner Cutting Plate on the top.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the floating strips circle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 3/4" from the top. Make sure none of the Dimensionals show through the Window Sheet.
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry & Bright Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large, rounded tip bulb image from the Merry & Bright Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" white rectangle.
Mount the larger filament image from the Merry & Bright Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the previously stamped bulb image.
Pick out one of the matching, large, rounded bulb dies from the Merry & Bright Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the stamped bulb is centered in the die (you will have some unstamped cardstock in the base of the bulb). Run through the machine.
Pick out one of the solid with lines bulb base dies from the Merry & Bright Dies. Put it on top of the small Granny Apple Green square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the bulb base cut out to the white area at the base of the bulb cut out.
Use Stampin' Seal and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the assembled bulb cut outs to the front of the card as shown so they overlap the upper left side of the floating strips circle a bit at a slight angle.
Mount the "merry" in a solid block sentiment from the Merry & Bright Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the thin white strip leaving room to cut it out.
Mount the "& bright" in a solid block sentiment from the Merry & Bright Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the thin white strip leaving room to cut it out.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the word blocks by hand leaving a small border of white around each.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut outs to the front of the card as shown so they overlap the bottom right side of the floating strips circle a bit at a slight angle and are centered over each other.
Cut a 3" piece of the Parakeet Party 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim and fray the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the frayed knot to the front of the card so it is centered over the bottom of the loop on the left side of the base of the bulb as shown at a slight angle.
