Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 4-1/2" x 6" from Pale Papaya Cardstock
- 4-1/2" x 6" of light yellow/orange gingham check design or of tiny yellow/orange dots on dark orange/pink background design from Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 2-1/2" from Pale Papaya Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square from Pale Papaya or Calypso Coral Cardstock (choose whichever color is the opposite of the main color on the designer paper design you used)
- 1-1/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" square from Pale Papaya or Calypso Coral Cardstock (use the opposite color from that of the larger square)
- 7/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
Use Stampin' Seal+ to adhere the designer paper rectangle to the large Pale Papaya rectangle. Put adhesive all over the back of the designer paper before adhering so that almost every bit of designer paper will be firmly stuck down.
Pick out the pillowbox die from the Pretty Pillowbox Dies. Put it on top of the designer paper adhered to cardstock rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use a Bone Folder to fold the box cut out on all straight lines. Carefully fold along all curved lines as well.
Fold the box up so the curved flaps on the sides will be open on the back side of the completed box. Put the Tear & Tape on the inside edge of those curved edges. Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and secure the ends of the box together.
Mount the large Many Messages stamp on Block F. Ink up the upper right corner of the stamp with the "Thank You for being YOU" sentiment using the Calypso Coral Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the small Pale Papaya rectangle.
Pick out the rectangular label die from the Pretty Pillowbox Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die with the ribbon hole on the left side. Run through the machine.
Fill your pillowbox with treats and fold the flap closed.
Cut a length of White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon long enough to wrap around the filled box and be able to tie a knot in the ends.
Wrap the ribbon around the center of the filled box and secure with a half knot near the base of the flap of the box. Slide the sentiment label cut out onto one loose end of the ribbon. Tie in place using a knot. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
Peel the protective backings off of the Adhesive Sheets squares. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets squares to one side of the large and small squares. Be sure to leave the other protective backings in place for now.
Pick out one large and one small flower die from the Pretty Pillowbox Dies. Put them on top of the cardstock squares on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the colored sides of the squares are face up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick paper-piercing tool and Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip to remove the pieces. Leave the protective backings in place for now.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the large flower cut out. Adhere it to the lower left corner of the bottom of the box front.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the small flower cut out. Adhere it to the lower left corner of the bottom of the box front so it is on top of the large flower and off set so the petals alternate.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small Mango Melody or small Calypso Coral sequin from a sheet of Artistry Blooms Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the layered flower cut outs.
