Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, Foil Sheets, and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-7/8" square of Purple Posy vellum from So Very Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3-7/8" of pink lily pads on green and purple brushstroke background design from Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3" from Purple Posy Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of Purple Posy 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon.
Place the Scalloped Linen Ribbon on some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect your work area.
Use the brush tip of the Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blends to carefully color in the center of the ribbon where it is brown. Set the ribbon aside to dry.
Mount the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Sending You Thoughts Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the white rectangle.
Add a line of SNAIL vertically down the left side of the BACK of the Purple Posy So Very Vellum as close to the edge as possible. Adhere the vellum square to the right side of the stamped white rectangle so the top, right, and bottom edges line up.
Adhere the piece of Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper to the left side of the stamped white cardstock/vellum so it covers the left edge of the vellum and the top, left, and bottom edges of the designer paper and white cardstock line up. .
Adhere the stamped white cardstock/vellum/designer paper rectangle to the large Gorgeous Grape rectangle.
Lay the altered Scalloped Linen Ribbon across the matted cardstock/vellum/designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the designer paper and the vellum. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Gorgeous Grape rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Highland Heather card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Lovely Lily Pad Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large lily pad stamp from the Lovely Lily Pad Set on Block H so the detailed side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the strip of Granny Apple Green.
Pick out the large lily pad die from the Lily Pad Dies. Put it on top of the stamped large lily pad image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered over the image. Run through the tool.
Adhere the lily pad cut out to the center of the vellum on the front of the card so it is slightly closer to the bottom than the top edge.
Mount the large lily flower stamp from the Lovely Lily Pad Set on Block D so the detailed side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Purple Posy rectangle. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub.
Mount the large lily flower stamp on Block D again but this time so the solid side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it over the previously stamped detailed large lily flower image. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put the stamp away.
Tip: The solid image does NOT match up exactly with the detailed image, just get it as close as you can. It is just meant to add a splash of solid color to the detailed image.
Pick out the large lily flower die from the Lily Pad Dies. Put it on top of the stamped lily flower image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered over the image. Run through the tool.
Pick out the large, detailed lily flower die from the Lily Pad Dies. Put it on top of the small Gorgeous Grape rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the detailed lily flower cut out to the solid lily flower cut out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered lily flower cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the lily pad cut out.
Carefully lift the vellum and put short lines of adhesive on the white cardstock where it will be hidden by the lily pad and flower.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large, clear droplet from a sheet of Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the lily flower cut out on the lower left side of the detailed lily flower flower cut out.
