Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crumb Cake Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of pink and red plaid design from Most Adored 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 4-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Most Adored Specialty Designer Paper to the center of the Real Red rectangle.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the 1" x 4-1/4" white strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp using the Ice Cream Swirl Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "hope your day is sweet" sentiment from the Ice Cream Swirl Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping, use the brush tip of the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to color over only the word "sweet." Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it on the punched white strip as close as possible to the punched end with the punched end on the right side.
Adhere the stamped sentiment strip to the matted designer paper so it is about 7/8" from the bottom and the punched edge is about 1/4" from the right edge. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess white cardstock on the left edge as needed.
Cut a 5-3/4" piece of the Real Red ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the matted designer paper rectangle with sentiment strip attached so it is about 3/4" from the left edge. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Real Red rectangle. Adhere to the front of the Crumb Cake card.
Mount the donut image from the Ice Cream Swirl Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp off on Grid Paper then stamp on one end of the remaining white strip. Re-ink the stamp, stamp off, and stamp it two more times on the white strip leaving room to cut the donuts out. Remember to re-ink and stamp off each time.
Pick out the matching donut die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped donut images on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine. Repeat with the other two donut images.
Place the donut cut outs on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark and Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to color in the donut bases on all three donut cut outs.
Use the Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in the icing stripes on two of the donut cut outs. Leave the icing stripes on the third donut cut out uncolored.
Use the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to add sprinkles to the Flirty Flamingo icing stripes.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the two Flirty Flamingo icing stripe donuts to the front of the card as shown so they overlap each other and the left side of the sentiment strip just to the left of the sentiment.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the white icing strip donut cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the other two donuts and the left edge of the sentiment strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large, 1 medium, and 1 small jewel from a sheet of Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown in a rough triangle in the upper right corner.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Real Red ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it overlaps the bottoms of the donuts and is centered over the ribbon already on the card front.
