F un Valentine's Day or birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of rows of tiny hearts on red background design from Most Adored 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the hearts are in vertical lines on the vertical rectangle
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2" square of Real Red Cardstock
Adhere the Most Adored Designer Paper rectangle to the center of the large Crumb Cake rectangle.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the burlap ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the vertical, matted designer paper about 1-1/2" from the bottom. Fold the ends of the ribbon over to the back and secure in place with small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape Adhesive strips and add some Stampin' Seal to the back of the Crumb Cake rectangle. Adhere to the front of the Real Red card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Heartfelt Hexagon Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the hatched edge tag outline from the Heartfelt Hexagon Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal Crumb Cake strip leaving room to punch it out.
Mount the "sending you lots of love & hugs" sentiment from the Heartfelt Hexagon Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the hexagon outline on the Crumb Cake strip.
Unlock the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch
Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon about 1/2" from the right edge.
Pick out the large set of 9 connected hearts die from the dies included in the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder. Put it inside the embossing folder included with the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder so it is centered over the embossed hearts. The ridges of the folder should help hold the die in place. Put the Real Red square inside the folder so it is centered over one of the hearts with small hearts and swirls inside it. Place the embossing folder with die and cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Note: The die will cut out the heart shape and the embossing folder will emboss the pattern on it at the same time!
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the embossed heart cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the upper left corner of the sentiment punch out at a slight angle.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the burlap ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tuck one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front just to the left of the embossed heart cut out. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
