Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic Black Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-7/8" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-7/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- scraps of Basic White and Basic Black Cardstock
Insert the Basic Black strip into the striped folder from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders so the lines run vertically on the vertical strip. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a 3" x 4-1/4" rectangle from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the 1-3/4" x 3-7/8" white strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you will cut about 1/4" off of one long edge. Run through the machine.
Insert the white rectangle with a deckled edge along one long side into the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder so the rectangle is vertical inside the vertical folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Place the dry embossed and deckled edge white strip on Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to paint some shimmer all over the rectangle.
Adhere the dry embossed black strip to the left side of the horizontal 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle so a tiny bit of white shows on the top, left, and bottom edges.
Adhere the dry embossed and shimmered white strip to the large white rectangle so the flat edge butts right up against the right edge of the black strip and the deckled edge is on the right side.
Adhere the white rectangle with black and white strips attached to the front of the Basic Black card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Heartfelt Hexagon Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the hatched edge tag outline from the Heartfelt Hexagon Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the vertical 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" white strip so it is vertical leaving room to punch it out.
Mount the "Mr. & Mrs." sentiment from the Heartfelt Hexagon Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the hexagon outline on the white strip so everything is vertical.
Unlock the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch
Place the sentiment hexagon punch out on Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to paint some shimmer inside the frame lines all around the punch out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the shimmered sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is centered top to bottom and is centered over the deckled edge of the embossed white strip.
Pick out the the small, solid, smooth heart die and the small, solid, double heart die from the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. Put the smooth heart die on top of a scrap of Basic Black cardstock and the double heart die on top of a scrap of Basic White cardstock on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies and cardstock do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Place the outline white heart cut out on Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush to paint some shimmer all over the cut out.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the solid black heart cut out to the upper right corner of the card at a slight angle as shown.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the shimmery white heart outline cut out to the upper right corner of the card as shown at a slight angle that overlaps the upper left side of the black heart cut out.
Cut a 4" piece of the Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it is centered over the bottom right side of the sentiment frame punch out.
