Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips Scissors:
- card from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of tiny gold floral and hearts pattern on white background design from Most Adored 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the tiny hearts are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 1" x 4" from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- small cluster of roses and leaves in gold foil cut from Most Adored 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper using Paper Snips Scissors
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Flirty Flamingo strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Mount the "Love You Much" sentiment from the Bee My Valentine Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the punched strip as close as possible to the left edge with the punched edge on the left.
Wrap the Flirty Flamingo twine from the Baker's Twine Three Color Pack around the right end of the punched and stamped strip a few times so it is about 1-3/4" from the end of the sentiment. Secure in place with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Add Stampin' Seal to the back of the sentiment strip with twine attached and adhere to the bottom of the vertical gold flowers Most Adored Designer Paper rectangle about 3/4" from the bottom. Make sure the tiny hearts are right side up. Trim off excess cardstock on the right edge.
Adhere the designer paper with sentiment strip attached to the center of the Old Olive rectangle and then to the front of the Flirty Flamingo card.
If you haven't already done so, roughly cut out the group of roses and leaves from the Most Adored Designer Paper using Paper Snips Scissors.
Place the cut out roses on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in the flowers and buds.
Use the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color in the leaves.
Gently wipe off any excess ink using a clean tissue or paper towel.
Cut the colored roses out in more detail following the gold foil lines. Cut off any tiny sprigs and throw them away. Cut off a tiny bud, but hang on to it.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the large group of roses and leaves to the front of the card so it is centered over the sentiment strip between the end of the sentiment and the baker's twine. Use a tiny piece cut from the edge of the Dimensionals sheet to adhere the small bud over a flower near the top left corner of the card.
Use the Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in any buds on the same stem as the popped up bud as needed.
Cut a 12" piece of the Flirty Flamingo twine from the Baker's Twine Three Color Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Tuck the folded end under the twine already on the card front at the bottom of the sentiment strip. Tie in place with a small bow. Trim the ends.
