Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips Scissors:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/8" of lines of white screwdrivers on red background design from Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the screwdrivers are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 1/2" x 5-1/8" of ruler marks on dark yellow background design from Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the marks are vertical on the horizontal strip
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- paintbrush cut out with Paper Snips Scissors from Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper designs
Mount the "Enjoy Your Day" sentiment from the Heartfelt Hellos Set on Block C. Ink up ONLY the word "Enjoy" using the brush tip of the Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker. Stamp it randomly all over the top half of the horizontal white 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp a little each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Uncap the brush tip end of the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends Combo Pack. Hold the tip horizontally about an inch over the stamped 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle. Repeatedly strike the end of the Stampin' Blends marker using the Bone Folder to make splatters of ink all over the top half of the rectangle. Move the marker around to get full coverage.
Adhere the strip of screwdrivers Trusty Toolbox Designer Paper to the bottom of the stamped and splattered white rectangle.
Adhere the strip of ruler measurements Trusty Toolbox Designer Paper to the splattered, stamped, and layered white rectangle so it covers the seam between the white cardstock and the other piece of designer paper.
Adhere the stamped, splattered, and layered rectangle to the center of the Crushed Curry rectangle and then to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
Re-ink the "Enjoy Your Day" sentiment on Block C using the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" white strip leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Poppy Parade Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the edges of the sentiment punch out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card on the left side so it is centered over the ruler measurements strip of designer paper and is about 7/8" from the left side of the card.
If you haven't done so yet, use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out a paintbrush image by hand from the Trusty Toolbox Designer Paper.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the paintbrush cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the lower left side of the sentiment punch out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up two Poppy Parade discs from the sheet of Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown so they are centered in the top and bottom points of the sentiment punch out.
