I created this very simple card for someone's birthday. He's a math nerd, so this fits him.
Project Recipe
· 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Basic White CS
· 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" Well Suited DSP
· 1" x 1-1/4" Glossy Photo Paper
· 1/2" x 1-14" Glossy Photo Paper
· Scrap of Smoky Slate
Cut "v" shape using the the Suit & Tie Dies.
Cut out the placket using the same dies.
Cut out the buttons using Night of Navy scrap.
Using Lt Petal Pink Stampin' Blends color the "skin" and add a "hair" using the Gray Granite Stampin' Write marker.
I cut the bottom part of the pocket protector with Timeless Label Punch. The top I rounded the corners.
Next I used black CS and the Umbrella punch to make the pen and pencil. I added a small scrap of Smokey Slate for the band around the pencil and a small piece of a white cs that I punched with the Umbrella punch for the eraser. I made the pen out of a piece of black cardstock and the umbrella punch.
I adhered the top half of the pencil and pen to the pocket protector so it looks like it's inside, and I adhered the bottom part so it looks like it's on the outside.
I assembled the pocket with the protector together and adhered it to the front of the shirt.
I added the placket and the buttons. I used a white water pencil to look like thread on the buttons.
TA-DA!
