Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of very pale pink hearts, x's, and leaves on slightly darker pale pink background design from Country Floral Lane 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the hearts are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 1-3/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Flowering Tulips Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount one of the complete, open tulip images from the Flowering Tulips Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the vertical 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" Petal Pink rectangle leaving room between to stamp the other complete, open tulip image. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock. Change the orientation slightly each time.
Mount the other complete, open tulip image from the Flowering Tulips Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the vertical 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" Petal Pink rectangle filling in the spaces between the other complete, open tulip images you stamped in the previous step. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock. Change the orientation slightly each time. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist and/or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Mount the small group of four little x's image from the Flowering Tulips Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it in the open spaces between the stamped tulips. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation a little each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock.
Mount the small tulip center image from the Flowering Tulips Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the open tulip images. Re-ink the stamp each time. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist and/or Simply Shammy, but leave it on the block.
Adhere the stamped Petal Pink rectangle to the center of the large Sweet Sorbet rectangle. The top and bottom edges will be even.
Adhere the matted, stamped Petal Pink rectangle to the center of the Country Floral Lane Designer Paper. The top and bottom edges will be even. Make sure the hearts on the designer paper are right side up.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Sweet Sorbet 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the layered designer paper rectangle so it is about 1-1/4" from the bottom edge. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper rectangle as needed. Adhere to the front of the Sweet Sorbet card.
Unlock the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the 1" x 3-1/4" Petal Pink strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the flatter edge) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other end.
Mount the birthday sentiment from the Flowering Tulips Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched Petal Pink strip.
Pick out the long, skinny, row of small tulips die from the Tulips Dies. Put it on top of the long, skinny Sweet Sorbet strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you will cut out as much of the strip as possible. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Lay the punched sentiment strip on top of the skinny row of tulips cut out to figure out which part of the row you want to use. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut that part away from the rest of the cut out.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the small section of row of tulips cut out to the back of the sentiment punch out so the tulips poke up from the top of the sentiment punch out.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon and the right edge is about 3/8" from the right edge of the card.
Ink up the complete, open tulip image on Block B with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small, remaining Petal Pink rectangle.
Ink up the small tulip center image on Block A with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the stamped tulip.
Pick out the matching, open tulip die from the Tulips Dies. Put it on top of the stamped tulip image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the tulip cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the upper left side of the sentiment label punch out just above the ribbon.
Cut an 8" piece of the Sweet Sorbet 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it is centered over the ribbon just to the left of the sentiment label punch out and just below the tulip cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 2 small Sweet Sorbet dots from a sheet of 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a straight line down on the upper right corner of the card as shown so they are evenly spaced and the large dot is in the center.
