Project Recipe
Take a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 stamp the largest Sunflower from the stamp set Celebrate Sunflowers in Momento Tuxedo Black ink.
Cut in Old Olive cardstock a sprig from the Sunflower dies. Place it in a similar fashion to the image below.
Attach a piece of vellum to the front with your favorite method. I used Glue just where my Flower on top will be. Vellum measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.
Stamp and Color your Sunflower for the front. I used Shimmer Cardstock to stamp the image on in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. 3 /1/2 square will be enough room for the flower.
Color with your Stampin' Blends. Start with the lightest color in small portions then adding the darker colors until all colors have been added. I then go over the whole area again with the lightest color to blend it all together. See the video for further details.
Red Sunflower colors are
Light Poppy Parade
Dark Real Red
Dark Cherry Cobbler
Daffodil Delight light and dark
Yellow Sunflower colors are
So Saffron Light
Daffodil Delight Light and Dark
Dark Mango Melody
Light Calypso Coral
Light Cajun Craze
Soft Suede and Crumb cake for the center
Wrap your ribbon around your card front. I have used a BumbleBee Gingham.
I add it around the back but do not want to waist ribbon so this is what is going on in the back. I have attached it with a bit of tape runner before I adhere the card front to its base.
You will then cut out your sunflower and attach it to your card front with dimentionals.
Make a bow out of the gingham ribbon. Then place it on your card front. Add some gilded gems and you are done.
Of course, you can add a sentiment I just choose to leave the flower to speak for itself. The inside will have my sentiment,
