H ello again! As I mentioned in my Sunday Blog, I want to share with you more cards from the Blended Seasons Bundle! This is a summer card, tomorrow will be Fall, and on Friday I will have a Christmas card. To finish up I will share more information on how you can order this amazing Suite on August first! So please check back every day this week!
Project Recipe
I wasn't quite sure what to do for a summer card, so I looked at the stamps and thought, ohh the wheat stamp is pretty, I'll use that! Then I started picking other items I wanted to use and colors and got going. I chose Coastal Cabana as the base card.
Use a 4"x 5 1/4" piece of Crumb Cake and emboss it with the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Tip: Spritz the cardstock lightly on both sides with the Stampin Spritzer, and your paper will emboss more cleanly.
Take the medium lable Stitched Seasons Framlit and Coastal Cabana Cardstock & cut out a piece. Next take Early Espresso ink and stamp Thank You in the middle but off to the right side as shown.
Now cut out a piece using the smallest lable framelit in Very Vanilla cardstock. Stamp 2 wheat stalks side by side in Early Espresso ink. Water color in the leaves with Mossy Meadow, and the wheat with Daffodil Delight. Do the sky with Pool Party. I used the Aqua painter for this step. Once dry, I used a bit of Wink of Stella on just the wheat for a little shimmer.
Now to assemble the card. Adhere the sentement off to the right side as shown with snail tape. Take a length of the Pool Party Bakers Twine and Wrap it around the card 3 times. Tie the knot where it will be under the image. Next cut a short piece of Burlap Ribbon and place it diagonally on the left side and glue or tape it down. Place Stampin Dimensionals on the back of the Wheat cut out, and place it on top, add a couple of pearls if you like, and you are finished!
This makes a nice little Thank You card I think... And quite simple too! Come back tomorrow to see my next card from this amazing versitle set!
Until then, Happy stamping!
