elcome back! Today, as promised, is the fall card. By far my favorite part of this bundle! Ok yeah its my favorite time of the year too!
I chose to do a Smooshing technique for this card, a bit messy but what results! Come see! Remember Only 5 more days until you can order this amazing Color my Seasons bundle!
Project Recipe
I didn't decide what color cardstock to use with this until I had finished the smooshing on the background. I wanted the color to set off the resulting background best, and I went with Fresh Fig. What is Smooshing you ask? It's a bunch of messy fun and you never know what you will end up with! Here I'll show you! Use a 4"x 5 1/4" piece of watercolor paper.
Start out by stamping directly on a large block a bit of each color you want to use. Don't overlap colors or you will mess up your stamp pads. If you happen to have reinkers its even better, just put a few drops of each color on the block. Now taking a spritzer, spray water directly on the inks. Then take your paper and "smoosh" it directly on the inks. Pick it up, place it down in a different position until all the ink is gone. Now let it dry, or if you are in a hurry, Dry with your Heat Tool. Now Repeat until you have the finished result you are happy with. Try to get ink to cover the entire paper.
Once that has completely dried, get out the leaves stamp from the Blended Seasons set, and stamp it twice in Versamark Ink. Right away, dust the paper with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder, then emboss with your Heat Tool. After it cools, color in the leaves with the Wink of Stella pen. This give the leaves a shimmery look.
Next take the large Label framelit from the Stitched Seasons set, center it on your design and run it through the Big Shot. LIne the outside part up on the card stock, holding it in place with postits, to use as a guide for the inside piece. Adhere the center with snail tape. Remove the outside and place Stampin' Dimensionals on the back, then place it on the card so it is raised and lining up with the inside piece.
Now take a bit of Very Vanilla and stamp your sentiment in Versamark ink, Dust with Copper Stampin' Emboss powder, and emboss with the heat tool. Cut it out and place on the center of your card with more Dimensionals. Add a pearl on each side.
Cut out a couple of leaves with the Leaf Framelit on Copper foil Cardstock, and place slightly under the sentiment and adhere with Glue Dots as in the photo. I also cut out a larger piece of Very Vanilla to put on the inside since the Fresh Fig is kinda dark to write on.
I hope you like this card! It's one of my favorites to make! Stop by tomorrow to see the Chrismas card from this set!
Happy Stamping!
