E legant birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut card stock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Island Indigo Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Mint Macaron Card Stock
- 3" x 3-7/8" from blue and green streaks design of paper from Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper
- 1-7/8" x 3-5/8" from Island Indigo Card Stock
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Card Stock
- scrap of Silver Foil Sheets at least 1-1/2" x 2"
Mount the stemmed flower image from the Avant Garden Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Island Indigo Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the Whisper White rectangle.
Mount the solid flower image from the Avant Garden Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad and stamp off on your scratch paper. Then, stamp it over the top of the flower image already stamped on the Whisper White Card Stock.
Adhere the stamped Whisper White rectangle to the Island Indigo rectangle.
Without adhering, lay the piece of Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper on the bottom of the Mint Macaron Card Stock so that 1/8" of card stock shows on the bottom, left, and right sides. Use a pencil to make a little mark along the top of the designer paper on the left side.
Mount the large scalloped lace image from the Delicate Details Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Remove the designer paper from the Mint Macaron Card Stock and stamp the lace image horizontally across the card stock so the bottom of the lace goes across the pencil mark you made.
Without adhereing, lay the matted, stamped flower image onto the stamped Mint Macaron rectangle so the image is about 1/4" from the left and 3/8" from the top. Mount either the birthday sentiment or the thanks sentiment from the Avant Garden Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Island Indigo Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment to the right of the flower image over the lace image.
If you are happy with your stamped images, you can now start assembling your card. If you made any mistakes, simply flip your card stock over and stamp again!
Adhere the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper piece to the bottom of the stamped Mint Macaron rectangle. The top of the paper should just cover the bottom of the stamped lace image.
Cut a piece of Mint Macaron 3/8" Sheer Linen Ribbon about 4-3/4" long. Place it over the seam between the designer paper and the card stock and then carefully flip the card stock over. Fold the ends of the ribbon over onto the back of the card stock and secure in place using small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive placed across the ends of the ribbon.
If you are happy with your ribbon placement, then add additional adhesive to the back of the Mint Macaron rectangle and remove the protective strips from the Tear & Tape Adhesive. Adhere the Mint Macaron rectangle to the front of the Island Indigo card.
Adhere the matted, stamped flower image to the card front.
Cut another piece of Mint Macaron Ribbon about 3" to 4" long. Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon and trim the ends. Adhere the ribbon knot to the flower stem in line with the other ribbon on the card using a Mini Glue Dot.
Place the scrap of Silver Foil Sheet on the Precision Base Plate on your Big Shot Platform. Place the bottom dragonfly in the linked small dragonflies thinlit from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits on top of the foil sheet. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run it through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush to remove the cut outs if needed. Carefully trim off excess foil so you just have one small dragonfly. Adhere it to the bottom right corner of the flower image at an angle using a small piece of Stampin' Dimensionals.
