his simple technique lets you stamp a full sheet of cardstock and cut it down into 4 card fronts.
I used Soft Seedling for this project
Project Recipe
Materials:
Very Vanilla Card Stock (or Basic White) -
8 x 10 1/2
4 x 5 1/4 for inside of card - need 4
Coordinating color card stock for card bases
4 1/4 x 11 - for portrait orientation
5 1/2 x 8 1/2 - for landscape orientation
Assembly:
If you want to be somewhat precise with this technique, you can place a small dot at the center of the 8" side and the 10 1/2" side and then measure into the center of the cardstock and place a dot there. I just eyed it up without any measurements. The beauty of this technique is that there really isn't a wrong way to do it!
Start stamping your selected images keeping them in line both horizontally and vertically. You want to be sure to keep open spaces in the 4 corners of the cardstock. This is where you will be stamping your sentiments and adding any additional embellishments.
Once you are satisfied with the design (remember, you can always go back and add additional images, but you can't take them away!), you'll cut the cardstock at 4" on the 8" side, and 5 1/4" on the 10 1/2" side. This gives you 4 - 4 x 5 1/4" panels to use as your card fronts.
Attach the 4 layers to the 4 card bases.
Stamp your sentiments for the inside of the cards using the 4 - blank 4' x 5 1/4" layers.
Stamp the sentiments you want to use for the card fronts.
Add any additional embellishments to the card fronts. For these samples, I used the Leaf Layers. I ran the leaves through the Stripes and Splatters Embossing folder to give them some added dimension.
Tie a small bow using the gold trim and add it to the leaf using a glue dot.
You are done!
