T hese cards CASed from France Martin at frenchiestamps.com. The Crumb Cake one is a direct copy apart from the colour of the shoes. The Sweet Sugarplum one uses the basic card but with significant colour changes.
Project Recipe
Cut a piece of cardstock measuring 8"x6" and score long side at 4". Use Crumb Cake for the neutral coloured card or Sweet Sugarplum for the pink version.
Using the Brick Wall mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks and White Embossing Paste, create a wall on the front of your card as shown. Don't worry if the edge bricks are not fully covered - this is part of the card's charm. Allow to dry fully (either overnight or use your heat tool) before continuing.
I left the bricks on the neutral card plain. For the pink card I replaced the mask once the paste was dried and using Sponge Daubers, coloured the whole pasted area using Powder Pink Classic Ink, then small, random sections with Sweet Sugarplum and Berry Burst Classic Ink. If some of the brick edges are still showing white when you remove the mask, carefully touch them up with Powder Pink, trying not to catch the card behind the paste.
If you have never used Embossing Paste before, I have a quick guide on my blog at https://studioat316.blogspot.co.uk/2018/03/a-quick-guide-to-embossing-paste.html
Ink up the shoe stamp from the Epic Celebrations Stamp Set using Basic Black Archival Ink. Take a piece of Fun Foam (sadly this is not a SU product, but is available from most good craft shops) measuring about 2 1/4" x 2 1/2". Using a Heat Tool, heat the foam piece until it curls up - it needs to become a roll for it to be soft enough to make a decent impression. Quickly unroll the foam piece and stamp the shoe image, pressing down hard on the whole stamp and hold it like this for about 30 seconds or until the foam has cooled completely. The longer you hold this, the deeper the impression will be.
Colour the laces, inside of the right shoe, and top of the tongues with a Stampin' Blends Marker. I used Dark Rich Razzleberry for the neutral card (although it doesn't show up very well on the dark brown foam) and Dark Pumpkin Pie for the pink version, with Dark Smoky Slate for the inside of the right on both. Fussy cut around the edges of the image.
Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the shoes then stick this to the bottom right corner of the card. I added a little dot of liquid glue to each Dimensional as I found they didn't like sticking to the embossing paste without it.
Using Chocolate Chip Classic Ink for the neutral card or Berry Burst for the pink version, stamp the 'You're Awesome' sentiment to a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock for the neutral card or Whisper White for the pink version. From the Layering Ovals Framelits use the plain size 6 die (I number mine from largest to smallest) to cut out the sentiment.
Using Chocolate Chip Cardstock for the neutral card, or Berry Burst Cardstock for the pink version, take the Scalloped Layering Ovals Die number 5 and cut out one oval. Stick the white/vanilla oval to the scalloped one using liquid glue. Attach Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of this oval and stick it to the top left hand corner of the card.
Sit back and admire your handiwork!
