Project Recipe
Cut Thick Basic White Card base to 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, score at 4-1/4. Fold and burnish on the score line.
Cut Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5-1/4. Using Blending Brushes, add Balmy Blue ink to the top 2/3 of the card to make the sky, and Crumb Cake ink to the bottom 1/3 to make the ground.
On Basic White cardstock scraps, stamp the Christmas tree in Tuxedo Black ink, the greeting in Poppy Parade, and the steam clouds in Basic Gray. Stamp the inside greeting in Poppy Parade inside the card. Use Evening Evergreen, Mango Melody, Medium (500), and Medium Deep (400) to color in the tree. Stamp the Candy Cane image on the bottom left corner of your envelope, and on the sides of the greeting to fill in the area.
Use the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine to die cut the train engine, and two cars from the Santa's Express DSP. You will also need to die cut 3 train tracks from Basic Gray cardstock. Die cut the greeting with the Tasteful Labels die cuts, and two small scraps of Poppy Parade with the same die cut. These will become the mat for the greeting. Die cut the Christmas Tree and clouds.
Use liquid glue to adhere the train track near the bottom of the card layer that you have colored in with Blending Brushes. You will use a piece from a second die cut to attach to the first to cover the entire card front layer. Repeat this step on the inside of the card. Adhere the card front to the card base.
Place a thin line of liquid glue on the back of the train car where you will adhere the Christmas tree. Flat mount your train pieces. Flat mount the inside train car.
Adhere the Poppy Parade mat die cuts to the back of the greeting die cut, and add dimensionals to the piece. Adhere to your card front. Flat mount your steam clouds.
