his beautiful and sparkly card was inspired by a project shared by my friend Gloria who introduced me to the glitter and acetate technique which was much easier to make than I had expected.
1) Start with a piece of clear window pane or substitute a transparency sheet from the office supply store. (a 2" x4" piece should work) and use permanent ink such as Memento Tuxedo Black.
2) Stamp on the slick front surface of the transparency and allow plenty of time for the image to dry completely before handling it or it will smear.
3) When stamped image on transparency sheet is VERY dry , flip it over and color in the image on the back/ textured surface using the alcohol markers. Allow the colored images to dry thoroughly then use cut it out using oval framelit of corresponding size to your stamped image from the oval layering framelits.
4) Cut another oval of the same size from the glitter paper.
5) Use Tombow white glue to apply a few dabs of the adhesive on the back of transparency and attach it to the glittery side of glitter paper.
HINT/lesson learned: I discovered that dotting tiny dots of glue onto the "colored in" areas of the images on the back textured surface helps hide the adhesive but allows enough glue to keep the clear acrylic sheet firmly attached to the glitter paper. On my 1st attempt I just put a line of white glue around the edge of the oval transparency and the glitter was much more visible so I recommend dotting the glue under the colored areas instead for a more seamless effect.
6) Use a scrap of black cardstock (approx 2" x4")) and the next larger size scalloped oval to cut a black
scalloped oval slightly larger than the white stamped oval. Attach the sparkly flower piece to the black scalloped cardstock. Apply Stampin' Dimensionals to back of the assembled floral panel.
6) stamp preferred sentiment on front white panel in bottom right corner of white cardfront using Calypso Coral ink.
7) run stamped white panel thru the Tin Tile dynamic thick embossing folder (or whichever folder you prefer) then adhere the focal piece to front using stampin'dimensionals to pop it up a bit and provide great sticking power.
