Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips Scissors:
- card from Lost Lagoon Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 4" of rows of white nuts, bolts, and screws on blue background design from Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 3/4" x 4" of ruler marks on dark yellow background design from Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the marks are horizontal on the vertical strip
- 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" of brushed blue design from Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" of ruler marks on dark yellow background design from Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the marks are vertical on the horizontal strip
- 1-5/8" x 3-5/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- various tools cut out of Trusty Toolbox 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper using Paper Snips Scissors
As you are ready to stamp using the Sending Smiles Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount one of the shorter sentiments of choice from the Sending Smiles Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Lost Lagoon Ink Pad. Stamp it in the bottom right corner of the horizontal Crushed Curry rectangle.
Insert the sentiment stamped rectangle into the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the strip of nuts, bolts, and screws Trusty Toolbox Designer Paper to the left edge of the stamped and dry embossed Crushed Curry rectangle so the top, left, and bottom edges are even.
Adhere the 3/4" wide strip of ruler marks Trusty Toolbox Designer Paper to the Crushed Curry rectangle so it is right beside the previously adhered designer paper strip and the top and bottom edges are even.
Adhere the stamped and dry embossed Crushed Curry rectangle with designer paper strips attached to the front of the Lost Lagoon card.
Pick out the more solid "sending" word die from the Sending Dies. Put it on top of the 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" brushed blue Trusty Toolbox rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to the back side (looks like a corkboard) of the larger ruler marks Trusty Toolbox Designer Paper rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the more detailed "sending" word die from the Sending Dies. Put it on top of the ruler marks designer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the ruler marks side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the detailed "sending" word cut out. Adhere it to the center of the more solid "sending" word cut out.
If you haven't done so yet, use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out a various tool images by hand from the Trusty Toolbox Designer Paper. I tried to cut out only ones with blue and yellow colors primarily.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the cut out tools and the layered "sending" cut out on top of the card to figure out placement and spacing.
Once happy with the placement of the pieces, adhere them in place on at a time using Stampin' Seal and/or Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
If desired, use the brush tip of the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker to color in any white spaces on the tool cut outs.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small dot from the sheet of Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card as the dot over the "i" in the "sending" cut out.
