A simple and quick card created withthe Peaceful Poppies Suite.
Project Recipe
Card base (HINT: score a full sheet of SU cardstock at 4 1/4” then cut at 5 1/2” - now you are ready to make two cards at one time!)
Layer: Mossy Meadow cardstock cut at 4 1/8” X 5 3/8”.
Designer Series Paper: This is part of the suite, pick a design you like and cut at 4” X 5 1/4”.
Scrap White Cardstock to stamp Thank You sentiment.
Inside layer: Whisper White cut at 4 1/8” X 5 3/8”.
Stamp Thank You with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto the white scrap of cardstock and cut out using the die in Painted Labels Dies (also part of the Peaceful Poppies suite.) I mounted the small poppy stamp, stamped off blackberry bliss ink twice and stamped over the sentiment using third generation ink. Stamp sentiment onto the inside whisper white layer.
Both the thank you and inside sentiment are from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set (part of the Peaceful Poppies Suite.)
Stamp poppies onto envelope (because it needs to be pretty, too!) I used the splotch stamp in the Painte Poppy Stamp Set (part of the Peaceful Poppies Suite.) using Blackberry Bliss Ink. I stamped off the splotch so ink is second generation.
Assembly: Use your multi purpose glue or SNAIL to attach the inside sentiment layer. (HINT: I prefer glue because it gives me a little time to ‘wiggle’ the layer into place.) I also added a poppy element to the lower left corner.
Assemble: Adhere DSP (Designer Series Paper) to Mossy Meadow layering cardstock.
Ribbon: Using SNAIL, run a small bit on edges of the back of the card - this will hold the two ends of your ribbon. Also, tie a small bow to attach with a glue dot.
On the Pearlized Doilie, attach the black circle from the Peaceful Poppies Elements (part of the suite) and glue over the ribbon, to one side. Using dimenstionals attach this card front to the card base. Add cut sentiment to the middle of the focal piece. Attach bow at the side.
Embellish your card. (HINT: Using my Take Your Pick tool I put several sequins - part of the suite - onto glue dots on the roll. This makes it super easy and quick to put sequins on your card.)
I thought it needed a little more sparkle so mixed some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint in my Stampin’ Spritzer with 70% Isopropol Alcohol. Shake well and spritz onto card front. There is overspray so I use a box lid and step outside for this step.
