T his is an easy and very cool way to distress your foil papers to create a beautiful card. Each one will be unique!
Project Recipe
Card base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Foil card stock 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Basic white inside sentiment panel (optional) 5 1/4" x 4"
Sentiment labels and embellishments of your choice
Score and burnish card base and set aside.
Dry emboss foil cardstock with embossing folder of your choice
Using Stazon Ink, or another solvent ink of choice, "wipe" the foil card front with the ink pad very lightly from top to bottom.
This should darken the embossed images.
Set aside to dry.
Do the same "wiping" technique using Versamark ink, but in just a few areas on the card front.
Sprinkle embossing powder *(Copper, Silver or Gold) over those areas on the card front and tap off excess powder.
Heat with Heat tool to set the embossing powder.
*If using copper paper, use silver and gold embossing powder. If using silver paper, use gold and copper embossing powder. If using gold paper, use silver and copper embossing powder.
Repeat step 4 with second color of embossing powder.
Once card front is fully embossed, use Stazon ink again to lightly "wipe" down the front of the card to enhance raised areas.
Set aside to dry.
Assemble card by adhering the foil card front to the card base. Decorate and finish with sentiment label and die cuts, etc.
Adhere inside Basic White sentiment panel.
Embellish!
