Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 4-1/2" square of little white pine trees on dark green background design from Classic Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Pool Party Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/2" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 2" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Remove the lid from a Round Tin. Place it on the BACK side of the large square of Classic Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper. Trace around the rim using the pen.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the circle drawn on the back of the designer paper square.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the cut out circle of designer paper to the top of the lid. Use Paper Snips again to trim off any excess right along the edge if needed.
As you are ready to stamp using the Curvy Christmas Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put some paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the grouping of tiny dots image from the Curvy Christmas Set on Block A. Ink it up with the inked up Whisper White Craft Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the Pool Party square. Re-ink the stamp each time. Set the square aside to let the ink dry.
Mount the curving line of trees image from the Curvy Christmas Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it on the Mint Macaron rectangle so you get some of the trees that are on the downward slope.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the line of trees down to the grass line. If needed, cut some trees off completely.
Pick out the curving line of tiny dots die from the Curvy Dies. Put it on top of the largest white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it will cut off the top edge of the rectangle. Make sure the dots are on the upper side of the die so you cut off the bottom of the rectangle just below the dots (you don't want the dots on the piece you will be using). Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Adhere the cut white rectangle to the cut trees strip so the slopes of the curves match up.
Pick out the smooth circle die that cuts out a circle that is 2-5/8" diameter from the Layering Circles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped Pool Party square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the layered tree strip/curved white strip to the cut out Pool Party circle. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock on the edges.
Tear the top horizontal edge off both remaining strips of white cardstock.
Layer the torn strips of white on top of the curved white layer already on the circle. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock on the edges.
Pick out the scalloped circle die that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 2-7/8" diameter from the Layering Circles Dies. Put it on top of the Whisper White square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the layered Pool Party, trees, and white slopes circle to the center of the scalloped white circle.
Adhere the matted circles to the center of the lid of the Round Tin so all the trees are pointing straight up.
Cut the hanging thread off of a Glitter Star Ornament.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the Glitter Star Ornament to the top of the Pool Party circle in the center.
Cut a 4" piece of the Mint Macaron 1/2" Basket Weave Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the lid over the loop at the top of the Glitter Star Ornament.
Fill your tin and put the lid on!
