Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of pink, white, and red stripes design from Bee Mine 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" of groups of three red, pink, and blue flowers on white background design from Bee Mine 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the flowers are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 2-3/4" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3/4" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
Pick out the rectangular postage stamp die that cuts out a rectangle that is 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" from the Perennial Postage Dies. Put it on top of the vertical groups of flowers Bee Mine Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the postage stamp designer paper cut out to the center of the striped Bee Mine Designer Paper rectangle.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon. Lay the ribbon across the layered designer paper rectangle so it is about 1-1/4" from the bottom. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Petal Pink card.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the 3/4" x 3" white strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the larger scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat on the other end.
As you are ready to stamp using the Carousel Horses Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Enjoy The Ride" sentiment from the Carousel Horses Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched white strip.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to carefully outline the sentiment strip.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the outlined sentiment strip to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon as shown.
Lay the large horse without a pole image from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block E to it to mount the stamp. Ink up the stamp with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the matching, large, open horse without a pole die from the Carousel Horses Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Place the horse cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blends to color in the horses tack including the ring on the tail.
Use the Dark and Light Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends to add some streaks of red to the horse's mane and tail. Use the Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to add some streaks of dark pink to the mane and tail. Use the Light Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to blend the streaks together and finish coloring in the mane and tail.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends to remove any excess color and blend the edges.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored horse cut out to the front of the card as shown so the back hooves just overlap the top of the sentiment strip.
Cut a 3" piece of the Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front on the left side of the sentiment strip. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
